Former two-division world champion Ricardo Mayorga (29-8-1, 23KOs) traveled over to Miami, Florida to meet with his promoter Don King. They discussed plans for his next fight. Mayorga is demanding a fight with WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Last week, King traveled to Mexico to speak with WBC president Jose Sulaiman, attempting to secure Sulaiman's approval for a possible Chavez-Mayorga clash. The WBC have ordered Chavez to fight Sergio Martinez - if Martinez beats Matthew Macklin on March 17. Mayorga has been inactive since a twelfth round TKO loss to Miguel Cotto in March 2011.
