Blackberry......WHY?

Just saw a thread about Blackberrys and thought why do people use blackberrys? HTC/Samsung GalaxyS/Iphone are all superior in terms of what they can do? Is it for the BBM program? Iphone has pingchat?

Explain, I own none of these phones so I am just interested. I know plenty of people with blackberrys who LOVE them but I can't see why..
