it's going to be a hard fight, agbeko is tough,he just keeps coming as if the punches he receives don't faze him,he can take two good punches and he's still there in front of you throwing back,he doesn't get discouraged, that guy is tough, mares isn't really a big puncher and he's going to have to be in great shape and ready to go 12 hard rounds...i think mares used to be a better boxer when he was with berinstain, now he gets hit a little more

Yes he is Agbeko is a bada$$, the key here is exactly what u said, Mares will stick to boxing and not going toe to toe with Agbeko.. I have Mares by UD

          Mares Wins!!

I think Abner Mares will win... Agbeko will be a tuff challenge for Mares but if you saw the Mares Vs Darshiyan fight you know Mares is a great fighter. Any young kid that can school a veteran fighter like Mares did to Darchiyan in my book is a star!

Mares is going to win this fight on combination punching and ring generalship. he will control the pace of the fight, jumping in and out blasting combinations to the dome-piece and body-piece. watch out for his TWO PIECE widda BISCUIT (jab-straight-left uppercut to the liver-piece). Agbeko has one of the best straight rights in the game, and he WILL land cleanly on Mares a few times with it, maybe even hurt him a little bit with it. but mares is just too busy to lose. . .

I don't understand why mares isn't one of the most popular fighters. his style is CANT MISS. it pisses me off that the smaller guys don't get the love the big guys do.

I've been saying this. I remember seeing him when Nacho was in his corner and was really impressed with the kid and looked forward to the direction he seemed headed. I'm a big fan of Abner but I too think he hasn't continued to advance from what I was seeing while under Nacho's tutelage. Agbeko is going to be a very tough fight. Excited to see how Abner deals WAR MARES!

Agbeko's toughness will let this go 12 but Mares to win the UD 12...
