The weights are in for this Sunday’s world championship showdown between WBO middleweight titleholder Dmitry Pirog (18-0, 14 KOs) and his WBO mandatory counterpart Gennady Martirosyan (22-2, 11 KOs). Pirog weighed in at 159.8-pounds, while the much shorter Russia-based Armenian tipped the scales at 158-pounds. Pirog vs. Martirosyan will be the first ever all-Russian title fight, with a boxer-puncher facing a slugger. The event starts at 7:30 PM LT at Olympic Sports Hall in Krasnodar, Russia.

Yes he was born there but now live, trains and fights out of russia....so I guess they consider it all Russian when it's really now

We need to see more of Pirog. It's a shame they brought him over only to be just an opponent for Jacobs and after the performance he put on they don't bring him back anymore.

gennady looks like arthur abraham from that angle, haha. should be a decent fight, but pirog will come out on top. hopefully he fights better opposition, or perhaps tries to get his name out more. him vs golovkin or martinez would be great, but guys need more buzz.
