im just wondering what gives you that idea?????

it doesnt work like that. canelo has to beat trout in order to get beat by floyd. thats how it goes. what team canelo is negotiating is to be the next for floyd if he gets by trout. even if he loses he could still get the floyd fight(highly doubtful) at a huge loss of pay. like floyd vs judah

      • People are giving Trout way to much credit on this site.

He's not all that great. He looked only OK against a old shot Cotto. He's not going to be able to deal with a 22 year old hungry lion like Canelo.

thats the way i see it also. canelo is faster and stronger than cotto. but hey i thought cotto was going to give trout a pac man nap. LOL

Well there is Boxingscene and the real world, in Boxingscene everyone is ducking anyone that calls for a fight after one fight on HBO and then there is the real boxing world where things are about money and timing

Right now there is almost zero chance of that fight happening in the near future, possibly ever.
I think Golden Boy knows that without a credible draw (and as well liked as he is on these boards Guerrero brings in virtually no fan base) it could be an underwhelming PPV number without mexican fans tuning in for Canelo.
I think this is why you are seeing this power play by Canelo.
are you trying to say floyd did not do huge ppv numbers before pac? if that is your argument then you should go back and look at floyds numbers before you re-state that position and also look at pacs horrible ppv numbers before arum sold the gullible public that he was the one to beat floyd. pac ppv numbers were simply garbage. they stayed in the 300-450k numbers pre floyd. they got a lot better when arum started using floyd to sell pacs ppvs.

zahir raheem was a HUGE under dog to el terrible. no one gave raheem a chance vs eric morrales but rahim totally out boxed eric and defeated him. only to face poppo frietas in a fight both looked like garbage. raheem never recovered from that debacle. even though pac man ducked raheem it didnt help his career.
