  • Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Believes Mayweather Would Expose Pacquiao

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya doesn't expect a mega-fight between welterweight champions Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs) and Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38KOs) to happen any time soon. Mayweather faces WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto on Saturday night, while Pacquiao defends his WBO welterweight title against Timothy Bradley on June 9th.

So now Pacquiao's punches never hurt him, even though they made Oscar quit on his stool. Before Pacquiao's punches felt as hard as steroid cheats' Mosley and Vargas? Before he said the fight was a toss-up on the Jorge Lopez show when he wasn't promoting Floyd, now Floyd whoops Pac? Which is it?

Well his punches might not have "hurt" him but over time when you get hit in the same spot over and over then it will start to take a toll even if they didn't "hurt" at first. I think this was the case with Oscar.

Duh...everyone knows this already...PAC can't even convincingly defeat jmm in 3 tries, so idk why people think he can deal with mayweathers superior boxing skills and defense

But he said in his Ring blog a couple years back Pacquiao's punches felt like being hit by Mosley and Vargas?

Oscar may be right. Unfortunately, Floyd himself doesn't believe it.

Well Oscar has done a whole 360 now when it comes to Pac power.

Hmm something tells me he'd think otherwise if Pac joined GBP.

Ask Margarito and Shane if they hurt.
