  • Comments Thread For: Sturm Tries To Grab Kelly Pavlik For June 25 Showdown

BoxingScene.com was advised that WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (35-2, 15KOs) tried to secure Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32KOs) for a fight in Germany on June 25. Sturm was willing to make the fight at a catch-weight of 165-pounds. The fight won't happen, at least for the moment. Pavlik has been inactive since last April's decision loss to Sergio Martinez.

Sturm is such a beyotch I remember when he was about to rematch Randy Griffin, Bob Arum said Sturms promoter said he would let him have Griffin if he won but if Sturm won he could forget about it. Now he is just using Pavlik to make headlines.

So many people talk **** about Sturm, but the one and only time he came to the states, he slapped the **** out of Oscar De La Hoya and ended up going home without his WBO strap. The guy realized he wasn't gonna get a fair shake in the US, so he kept his career in Europe where he gets paid tenfold. He'd give Pavlik hell at this point.
