Im kind of torn, it seems that chitheads 16-17 year olds can go around breaking windows and beating people up as a gang they get a slap on the wrist. But when you hit one of these clowns they start crying and go to the cops who label you a "child" abuser.

Personally the father is sick and the kid he beating on is trailer trash anyways, wont have much of a future except jail and drugs, so whatever.

Give the dude probation, 6months-1 year if kid had a few broken ribs or something, 2-3 years for worse.

A persons age shouldnt matter when they are being douche bags. Old enough to jack old enough to get cracked.

I'd say if the father has no history of violent crime, then he should catch a nickel-piece, HOWEVER, only have him serve a year of that nickel, and suspend the other 4 years - keep him on intense probation for the remaining four years, and if he slips up, he serves the remaining 4 years consecutively with whatever the penalty for the recent offense entails.

What do teenagers who break windows or beat people up have anything to do with this?

He invited the kids to fight fairly, his kid got the **** kicked out of him, he got mad and beat the kid up.

It's that simple and has nothing to do with anything else. Dude is a scumbag, deserves the time he gets for abusing some kid.
