Promoter Frank Warren says WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns has received some very bad career advice. The boxer recently broke ties with Warren and signed a promotional contract with Eddie Hearn. Warren is claiming to still have a valid contract with Burns and plans to legally fight the move. Warren says he offered Burns several opportunities, which the boxer turned down, including a lightweight unification with WBC champion Adrien Broner.

It was well documented at the time that Ricky turned down the Broner fight. He wasn't going to fight at 7 weeks notice, and neither he should. Ricky has a 12 week training camp for every fight, regardless of the opposition.

What we need a long ass article on Warren, showing how he has stabbed boxers in the back by declaring his company bankrupt after moving all of his assets to an offshore holding company to avoid being calzaghe, he lost the court case after trying to argue he paid calzaghe in GIFTS lol, he paid the millions he owed in gifts like a watch he got him FOR HIS BIRTHDAY
