Mexican-born 26-year old Abner Mares (23-0-1, 13 KO) of Montebello, California, provided some answer to critics who questioned the number of low blows he was allowed to get away with in winning the IBF Bantamweight title in August, keeping them mostly up and earning another hard fought unanimous decision against 31-year old former titlist Joseph Agbeko (28-4, 22 KO) of Accra, Ghana on Saturday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

To hardcore boxing fans anselmo has been the man, he's just now getting the recognition he deserves. Can't wait for the bandwagoners to start showing up. it's no surprise he schooled vic. He's a boxer and plays his part and tries to win every round, excellent footwork and head movement along with high boxing iq and ring generalship. El fantasma! Chemito moreno!

good for Moreno, he really shined even though Judge Jen-Kin didn't think so,115-112, ridiculous, whille another judge gave Moreno every round...Kin 's too old or blind and needs to be out to pasture...like to see more of Moreno...

Consider me on the wagon if there is still room. This guy is the truth. he has a long future ahead of him and I want a seat on the bus.

Superb day, all my boys won..... Mares, Cotto, Chemito, Rios, ..... 4-0.

Glad to hear Moreno getting his due, he is probably the best of them.

The only thing on a fight website that I hate worse than a ******* is a casual fan who uses the term "running" to describe a boxer..... I wonder if there are any of those ******s roaming around in this thread?

Good post man, he is the truth.

He is the only one who could live with Donaire because of his style.
