Things are coming together for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Robert Guerrero Showtime Pay-Per-View, scheduled for May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The co-feature was finalized two weeks ago, with Abner Mares (25-0-1, 13KOs) moving up to the featherweight division to face Daniel Ponce De Leon (44-4, 35KOs) for the WBC championship.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has advised BoxingScene.com that J'Leon Love (15-0, 8KOs) vs. Gabe Rosado (21-6, 13KOs) has been finalized for the show.

Former IBF bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (23-0-1, 13KOs) was going to face Rafael Marquez, who got injured. He will now likely make his super bantamweight debut against veteran Alexander Munoz (36-4, 28KOs) of Venezuela.

Seems odd that Broner would just skip right past 140 to fight Malignaggi. He should be cleaning out 135 and then moving to 140. I don't think he's ready for the top guys at 147 or even 140 for that matter.

So lets say Broner beats Paulie, what is he going to do next? Stay at 147 or go back down to 140?

But he wouldn't fight anyone of note at that weight, GBP would have him fighting mediocre competition for at least 2 years the same way they made Canelo fight that level of competition when he went to 154.
