I really wish I could make jokes relating this to something like, "he read check hooks post history and had a heart attack" or something amusing, but that would be totally inappropriate.

Hopefully it's nothing too complicated, that which revolves around the cause of his death, and I hope he was at peace with himself, God, and his family when he passed.
Fighters really need to take better care of themselves, during, and after their careers.
Tapia was doomed since the get go, read his bio

I'm actually surprised that he lasted "this long". If I'm not mistaken he's had several attempts at suicide. Hopefully that's not the case.

He had one of the hardest lives that I have ever heard.

What he went through in 45 years, most people dont go through in 80.....

RIP Champ (I still think you beat Paulie Ayala)

                    RIP Champ.

You have fought many battles, inside and outside the ring...

                    Finally you can rest.

This just ruined my day. I knew something was going to come sooner than later with Tapia. But, this is hard for me. I'm truly saddened by this news. Anyone who watched boxing in the 90's respected Mi Vida Loca. No other fighter has ever had such a fitting nickname.
