  • BOXINGSCENE: KNOCKOUTS Of The YEAR

I thought this would be a fun topic to start. Basically, I would like to unofficially complete Ring Magazine's list of Knockouts of the Year, which began awarding fighters from 1989 onwards.

Rack your brains trying to think of the most brutal and devastating knockouts you have seen in a fight from that specific year. Any KO pre-1989 is fine by me.

This is the Ring Magazine's list of KO's from 1989-present.

    • 1989: Michael Nunn KO 1 Sumbu Kalambay
    • 1990: Terry Norris KO 1 John Mugabi
    • 1991: no award was given
    • 1992: Morris East KO 11 Akinobu Hiranaka

I assumed he was asking for fights that were not selected as KO of the year or that he didn't already list. Of course Martinez -Williams would be my number 1 pick for 2010. As far as brutality, Chambers was as brutally knocked out as any fighter that I happened to see in 2010.
