    Buddy McGirt, who trains Antonio Tarver with Jimmy Williams, commented on the news that his fighter tested positive for drostanolone, an anabolic steroid, following a drug test conducted by the California State Athletic Commission before his June 2 draw with Lateef Kayode.

          if a conditioning coach gives u something and u dont know what it is or whats in it then dont take it.

            it's not as simple as you make it sound. it's like that for all athletes. the conditioning coach gives u something, u ask what it is, he tells u it's this this and this but leaves out the ped part. u take it thinking it's ok.

                Everyone feels they need an edge even a false one... this should cause more fighters to handle their supplement intake a bit more seriously..

                  The coach gets pressure to show improvement and prove his worth, or else the fighter asks, why pay him? He starts slipping the fighter his formula, not unheard of, new drugs though, and there is "visible" improvement almost immediately. He's a Guru now.
                  My concern is Buddies belief that drugs can't overcome skill, when McGirt says, Either you can fight or you can't, drugs won't stop a knockout. All things being equal, especially in a fight, drugs make them unequal. Drugs do work, people take them all the time, liquid courage is common. Don't belittle the problem because your friend is involved.

                    Most people dont know whats in the food they eat in America so why would athletes taking supplements be any different.
