  • Is there anyone who spended more years in the top 3 div ranking then Lennox Lewis? 14

Just curious if there is anyone who have spended more years ranked in the top 3 of Ring's divisional rankings then Lennox Lewis

Lennox Lewis from 1992 to 2004 (his retirement) was ranked in the top 3 amongst Heavyweights for RING MAGAZINE.

I already checked Floyd's he is as of right now on year #13 ranked in the top 3 of which ever division he fought in

Antonio Tarver spent close to or over 9-10 years in the Ring Light Heavyweight rankings. I wouldn't be surprised if Holyfield, B-Hop, or Calzaghe spent over a decade in a divisional top 10 ranking...

    Spent not spended btw...

B-Hop is at 17. 18 I guess, if you include this year.

        Damn.

Roy Jones: 1993-2003. In 1992 he was the 4th ranked MW by The Ring (they weren't giving out titles at this time) and he was the #3 ranked contender at the end of 2004. Glen Johnson was The Ring champ, followed by Tarver, Erdei, and Jones.

Evander Holyfield didn't have it consecutively, but was rated in the top 3 by The Ring from 1986-1993, then 1996-99.

So he was up there 12 times in 14 years.

I'm looking at The Ring's annual ratings on boxrec and Lewis was rated in the top three 11 times in 12 years, from 1992-2003. He was ranked #5 at the end of 1994, and not rated at the end of 2004 as he retired early that year.

Ali spent 16 years in the Top 10 by the ring. 1961-1967 and than he was banned. Than 1970-1978. He was also still considered the RING HW champ in 1968-1969 as well, but he wasn't fighting.
