  • Comments Thread For: John Molina's Manager Responds To Bogere Fight Claims

Sergio Diaz, the manager of lightweight contender John Molina (21-1, 17KOs), reached out to BoxingScene.com to respond to an earlier story, where unbeaten Sharif "The Lion" Bogere (19-0, 12KOs), and his manager Jimmy Alex, were claiming that Diaz's boxer was afraid to sign a contract for a proposed ShoBox main event on May 13. after molina's fight with hank lundy, i became an instant fan of molina.
i think he needs to get in the ring sooner rather than later. this is the longest layoff he's had by far as a professional.
i understand that bogere may not be the right guy, but he needs to get back in the ring. especially if he wants to fight the winner of guerrero/katsidis.
honestly, i don't think he's ready to step up that much. he looked good against lundy, but not great. and lundy is not at the same level as guerrero/katsidis.
i wish him luck though! his style makes for exciting fights.
