  • Comments Thread For: Merchant: Arum Was Right on Mayweather's Legal Issue

The biggest news of this boxing holiday happened on Wednesday, when Floyd Mayweather Jr. was sentenced to 90 days in jail in relation to his role in a September 2010 domestic violence case involving two of his children and their mother, Josie Harris.

Of course Arum was right, him and Pac campaigned for Las Vegas senator Harry Reid so he knew exactly how Floyd would end up doing time for a misdemeanor. People act like 2 months is 2yrs all of a sudden when Arum never intended on fighting in May anyway. Merchant is a joke, what else would anyone expect him to say, something positive?

Sugar Q is an idiot. How can anyone side with Mayweather who's an in-your-face mocker of everything white and non-Black hip-hop gangsta? He's a total
****-up like his dad and uncle: apple and trees....Yes, he knows how to fight
but when has he fought someone his own size and with decent punching ability.
The Ortiz fight was a fix, for sure: how does a slugger come to back up all of a sudden and let Mayweather take pot-shots at him? It was a joke. Clearly, Ortiz was happy with the big payday.

Mayweather got off easy, 2 months is a joke. Arum is full of it, he just wished it was 2 years for Floyd, so Pacman could keep fighting in-house fighters, I do not care if Floyd and Pacman fights anymore, both of them are full of it.

not blaming pac for mayweather irresponsible behavior outside the ring. but this plays right into arums hands who never wanted the fight anyway because he knew mayweather would make pacquiao look like a green amateur.then all the big money fights would be out the window.plus pac needed to drop the lawsuit too.

Arum was right, it sounded as if he was hesitant but he had reason, after all he is a Lawyer who graduated from Harvard.
