how do you avoid someone who isnt in your division and wont drop to your division to fight you? i could see if Sergio had fought at 168 before and won a title there

Yet, Pac and Team has repeated stated no longer going above 147........so why is that ok?

Floyd said he wanted the best in cotto so 154 is where he said OK. That gives way to Martinez. Floyd will duck Martinez because he should get 100% of the revenue and he can't afford to give anything to Martinez. He also can't sacrifice his health so Martinez is out the question but don't tell anyone.

He is P4P #3. Like others have expected in other p4p members they have gone through numerous weight classes to fight the best and great challenges. So why not have Martinez vs Ward at 168 which will let him win those belts.

It cannot be standard for every single top level fighter to do that, he is already a smallish MW and never fought at 168. Larry explained this clearly already so if Sergio doesn't feel comfortable going up higher fine no duck, but if Ward is willing to go to 160 and Sergio doesn't want to fight then duck.

Agree completely with this thread. Would love to see the fight at 160 though? Could Ward make that? Kinda doubt it.

The only flaw in Sergio claiming he's being avoided is that he's avoiding to. Lou says Sergio can't fight Pirog because he won't come to America. That's pretty true though. But what's the excuse with Golovkin??? He's more than willing to come to America. They fought Dzinziruk on America, and no one in American would recognize that guy on the street, no one.

And the flaw with Ward and Bute being too big is that Julio is as big, if not bigger, than they are. I just hope Sergio cleans out MW to make his legacy, fights Ward or Bute at a CW, or goes back down to 154 for big fights and wins another title there. Or a combination of that as well would be nice. If he fights Macklin, Lee, and Geale this year, good with me. Then, either go down to 154 for a big title fight, fight a Ward or bute at a CW, or stay at 160 and fight Golovkin, Pirog, Quillin, etc.

Pirog, Golovkin, Chavez are all more than aceptable fights for Martinez. He should just stay at 160.
