  • Comments Thread For: Andrade-Brewer Early Results From Hammond, IN

Later this evening, the main event of ESPN2 Friday Night Fights’ season finale will see undefeated prospect Demetrius Andrade square off against Grady Brewer live from the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana.

The bout will serve as the stiffest test to date for Andrade, who served on the 2008 U.S. Olympic boxing team.

Brewer accepted assignment on late notice and enters this fight on the heels of an upset knockout win over another then-unbeaten prospect, Fernando Guerrero just two months ago in a bout that also aired live on ESPN2.

In the opening televised bout, Dwayne Wisdom (1-0, 1KO) enjoyed a successful pro debut with a third round stoppage of Chicago-based Paulie Settepani (1-1, 1KO). Wisdom scored knockdowns in the first and third round, the latter prompting the official to wave off the fight on the spot. The official time was 1:13 of the third round. [Click Here To Read More]

Good night in all. David Diaz needs plastic surgery to get those scars removed or is that going to make it worst? Lundy's win is nice, solid win.

Andrade-Brewer almost put me to sleep. The Hank Lundy-David Diaz undercard was better than the main event.

Not watching Andrade fight ever again. If espn keeps buying his fights I'll just know to avoid it when his fight comes on. Let the ratings drop when he fights.

Glad Diaz was able to leave the ring on his own accord after that knockout.

He just strays away from any type of inside fighting, even from the outside he isn't that effective. What he's good at is avoiding any type of contact, I give him that.
