I hope Pac doesn't follow Marquez the whole fight and get countered. If Pac moved more or fought off back foot, it would be an easy fight. If Pac initiates all action and doesnt move he will lose like last time.

simply put...Manny needs to not be Manny. The "old" Manny is exactly what we've seen all 3 fights, except with less and less aggression and perhaps less and less success. BUT that shouldn't lead you to believe he needs to be MORE aggressive...sorry but that feeds into JMM game plan. JMM fights everyone in punching distance looking to counter and land his own shots. As a result of being in punching distance we've all seen him dropped, hurt, take a lot of punches but what makes him great is he always gives more than he takes (exception of Mayweather fight). What makes Manny so ineffective against JMM tho is that he doesn't fight in punching range, he keeps his distance one step outside of that and looks to jump in and jump out, all JMM does is pivot and step back when Manny steps in, slips his shots and counters and Manny JUMPS OUT and gives JMM space to not get hit after he counters...its ridiculous makes no sense. Sorry but in and outs work for guys who can't counter, guys who can't keep up with ur speed or footwork or guys that are coming at you. Marquez is NEITHER.

For Manny to win this fight, well win it convincingly, he needs to fight like Frazier, fight like Tyson, he needs to keep his ****ing feet on the ground, hold his gloves up, bob and weave his way in patiently perhaps even behind or sneaky left hands, get JMM on the ropes or get inside on him and dig to his body and then go up to the head when he has him cornered. If he works his way in JMM is either meet him there and give Manny opportunities to counter or exchange, or he's gonna back off but not have a target to counter cuz Manny won't be jumping in and punching from long range to be easily countered and that'll mean JMM getting caught on the ropes or being forced to let his hands go to make his own openings instead of waiting on Manny to give him openings.

Its hard to teach and old dog new tricks but versatility is what makes a fighter great. Take a page out of Ward's book, Floyd's book, become a chameleon and change ur style when necessary to suit ur opponent. If the old Manny is back then, good luck to his sparring partners and Freddie's mitts, but JMM aint go nothing to worry about lol

Sure he is in old form...sure he is. Pac will NEVER be in old form. The old form Pacquiao was a godless killing machine. This Pac is a God-having hug monster.

Nah, but they gotta sell the fight somehow. Gotta make people actually believe that it will be different this time around.

Maybe he's motivated this time around after the mediocrity of his past..............3 performances.

Strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza was elated over Pacquiao’s performance and told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard he was “very impressive. It went really good.”

The haters on here act like he's been destroyed his last 3 fights..he's shot because he underperformed but actually won his last 3 fights...(Yes he got jacked on one). Anyone who gets to the levels of some of these athletes goes through a lazy phase..mike tyson did too and paid for it..when you start literally walking through your opponents you start thinking why do all the extra work. Manny is just as vain as any other athlete and he thrives on the love the public showers him with and that waned a bit..I do think he's motivated not to beat JMM but to get back to that level of adoration the public had for him..plus he's got a ton of critics to silence..if he does end up destroying JMM this time around expect the PED rumors to surface again or the excuse that JMM is 40 to come up..when someone dismantles Pacquaio i'll accept that he's shot..until then i'm of the opinion he took his most recent fights lightly.
