That's why I don't get why people hype up a guy's undefeated record when he hardly fights. Inactivity = avoiding fights, taking less risks. What do you expect? What's insulting is he comes out when everyone else's stock has dropped and use their activity against them. It's like rewarding the opposite.

why would it be unrealistic for them to fight 3x a year?

are you miss cleo or something?

you think if floyd or pac said they want to fight 4x a year, hbo and their promoters would say no?

they fight = they make money.

Please shut the fuck up. He fought legitimate great fighters, even though they were aged and war torn, he fought them. Don't disrespect them and call them bums.

Nigel Benn said the same thing about modern boxers, they're way too inactive in his opinion.

          Benn fought...

          12 times in 1987
          8 times in 1988
          5 times in 1989
          4 times in 1990
          4 times in 1991
          4 times in 1992
          3 times in 1993
          2 times in 1994
          3 times in 1995
          3 times in 1996

Im sure if he was making larger purses he wouldn't be fighting as much.

Even 3 times a year is way out of the range the fighters I mentioned.

Even though there body is able to do it. You may be sure if Sugar Ray Robinson was around today he'd be fighting at least 3 or 4 times a year. (by todays standards.) Hell, even a young Mike Tyson too.

Mayweather/Pacquiao are PPV fighters, regardless of their opposition. Fighting three times feels like a money grab. Fighting three times would be reasonable if they fought at least once on cable television.

Yeah, even though his opposition has been weak can't knock him for being active. 3-4 times a year is amazing.

Once Donaire starts engaging in wars, he won't be able to continue his momentum. His fight rate will drop back to 2-3 fights per year. Donaire's only able to fight every 3-4 months because he's managed to avoid serious beatdowns.
