Nishioka is the guy Donaire wants, while the rest of the guys want Donaire.

When you're old and past it, "styles make fights" go out the window.

25 year old Shane Mosley would have given Canelo hell. Although at 40 his style hadn't changed, he was just too old, too slow, and past prime. So his style did not matter against Canelo.

Marquez is past prime and shouldn't have given Nishioka such a good fight if Nishioka was as good as people say he is.

Hasn't been that long? That was almost 4 years ago.

Oh, it hasn't been that long since, let me mention him again, Shane Mosley destroyed Margarito in 2009, maybe we could have taken that as a sign that he actually had a chance against Pacquiao and Canelo.

And 12 months out of those 4 years was a year lay off.

every fighter is different...you have some fighters like marquez and martinez who are in their late 30s and are still able to compete at the top level. you also have guys like floyd who can take a year off and still come back and dominate. are you saying that donaire shouldn't be fighting nishioka? wasn't it donaire's goal to be undisputed at 122?

also nishioka is nowhere near as past prime as mosley is...

It was 15 for Mosley after Margs.

You're absolutely right. Nishioka doesn't have a belt. Mares does, Rigo got the other one. Unless you consider the WBC Diamond belt a real title. And if you and Donaire consider that a real title then your standards are pretty low.

Right, because odds and predictions are what justify fighters' legitimacy.
