Takashi Uchiyama ended the year in style in Japan on Tuesday night. Uchiyama beat Daiki Kaneko on points to retain his WBA super featherweight title in Tokyo.
Uchiyama is still undefeated, his record now standing at 21-0-1, including 17 shortcut victories. But he had to shake off a tenth-round knockdown to keep his fellow-Japanese opponent away from his title.
