Takashi Uchiyama ended the year in style in Japan on Tuesday night. Uchiyama beat Daiki Kaneko on points to retain his WBA super featherweight title in Tokyo.

Uchiyama is still undefeated, his record now standing at 21-0-1, including 17 shortcut victories. But he had to shake off a tenth-round knockdown to keep his fellow-Japanese opponent away from his title.

Kaneko lost 110-117 on each of the scorecards but pushed the champion all the way. His record dropped to 19-3-3, with 12 knockouts. [Click Here To Read More]

Man what a great way to finish off the boxing year. All 3 title fights were action packed. None of them were quite foty, but all deserve a honorable mention though.
