you only have so many fights that your body can take.


its quite a lose -lose for maidana, really, if the money isn't good.

he's expected to blow him out, being both bigger and younger, but he's up against a very good boxer in soto who will get his own punches in and be able to use his skills to at least keep from being blown out, and perhaps even last the distance.

Nothing new to see here. If Maidana hadn't ducked Morales' we would have seen Morales vs Maidana instead of Cano. Instead of Maidana ending up without any contenders.

Maidana is looking to cash out and he wants to get paid a lot before he loses again.
