  • Lenny Dykstra sentenced to 9 months in L.A. jail

LOS ANGELES — Former New York Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra has been sentenced to nine months in jail after pleading no contest to charges he exposed himself to women he met on Craigslist and assaulted one.

Dykstra entered his plea Wednesday in a Los Angeles courtroom to one count each of assault with a deadly weapon and lewd conduct. He also received three years' probation.

Prosecutors say Dykstra exposed himself to several women who responded to ads for personal assistants and housekeepers. During one incident, prosecutors say, Dykstra held a knife and forced the woman to give him a massage.

In March, Dykstra was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading no contest to grand theft auto and providing a false financial statement. He is currently awaiting trial on federal bankruptcy charges.

New meaning to 'let's play ball'?

Guy was actually mainly known as a Phillie during their early 90s pennant run. The Toronto fans probably recall.

They did a Real Sports report on when he was a financial "wizard" ... and then a follow up where they were seizing his house and how there were a lot of numbers that were skewed ... he was going to go to jail one way or another

Im just saying, you play for the Mets and you're never the same after

Just look at PIazza who is still haunted by the fact that clemens almost killed him with his own bat

What I am most surprised at is the fact that he held a woman at knife point, forced her to massage him on top of the charges he's already facing and only received 9 months plus probation.
