In fact I would go further. There are currently over 200,000 soldiers in the US Marine Corps. The US Armed Forces comprise of some 1.5 million individuals on active duty. One guy making a public statement about his distaste for the Iraq war is completely insignificant. It's also irrelevant. A soldier's experience in the field of battle does not make him equipped to comment on policy decisions, especially when policy has already decided and that policy is to withdraw troops.
