I like Burns more for his drinking and womanising than his poetry.

As for being the greatest Scot ever? Meh. I'll take Maxwell and Conan Doyle over him.

Both Valid points, his drinking and womanising is as admirable and as part of the mans legacy as his poetry and music.

As for the Greatest Scot ever lived, its on that link that he just piped William Wallace to the top spot but its a tough competition.

Lets not forget We invented many things, worthy mentions are John Logie Baird who invented television and Alexander graham bell invented the telephone.

We really contributed alot to the Modern world yet we are never given the credit.
