    Compound movements + do about 15-30 mins cardio every time you are in the gym, preferably at the end of the workout so you aren't tired/winded for your weights session.

      It's what you should've been doing all along, weight lifting > cardio. You'll have a decent amount of muscle by the time that fat comes off.

      • So first month is down, I lost overall 18.8lbs

        Overall i'm happy with the fat loss, but my body looks kind of "deflated" now, which is why i'm going to be upping the weight work.

              maybe a little bigger in the chest and arms since i wont have to worry about being an exact weight, but he's pretty asthetic without being bulky. Reckon it'll take more than a year but i'll get there lol

              • I think you are doing real well Earl, keep going.
                Once you get a solid base and even if you become a fat ass again in a few years time, it's much easier getting into shape again with muscle memory and an idea of how to eat and train and no doubt you will get that all in the next few months.

                    probably more like 175, a scaled up version basically.

                    i'm 184 right now and to be honest with you not carrying "that much" extra fat anymore. so trimming off 10lbs of fat and toning up seems to be the plan. I'm cutting back my caloric defecit to just 250cal defecit per day and upping my protein while decreasing carbs and fats so i can slowly boil down as i build muscle.
