look at the size difference between them and kostya was a career jr welter. Hatton weight wise was a huge jr welter despite being short. he sucked balls at welter because he needs that size advantage. All of the less talented fighters like chavez jr, margarito and pavlik depend on it.


This is Hattons best win his whole career and what did he show, he showed a great chin and that he can beat a smaller old fighter who used to be A level.

In the video he is clearly quite a bit larger than Kostya. Remember the first time he went up to welter he was saying he could barely make 140 anymore and that he would do better there. Well he sucked balls there when he had to fight someone his own size so he went back down. Then people discredit Mayweather's win at 147 when they weighed very near the same on fight night and with the advantage of Hatton not having to dry himself out like he normally does but somehow its worth less than if they both went at 140 because then at fight night he would have that size advantage he is used to since mayweather isnt stupid enough to cut as much water weight.

Its a bad sign when fighters cannot move up a single weight successfully. It shows they arent skilled.

If Hatton's win is tainted Andre Ward's entire career is tainted along with a number of other boxing champions.

You would think that boxing fans would understand inside fighting is part of the sport...apparently not.

Tszyu wanted to fight Gatti, but he ended up fighting a prime 140 Hatton who was too much for him.

Hatton was never good on the inside, he simply wrestled and mauled. Hatton was allowed to foul far too much in that fight.

Well that's what you call "Home advantage" and the reason why tsyzu was paid $4M Australian dollars to come over to Hatton's den at 2 am in the morning, Great night for Hatton but horrible wrestling match with one of his uncle as the referee (Dave Parris)... His other uncle (Micky Vann) who alway referee his fights in the UK had to take a backseat for this one.

Hatton was smaller than all the welterweights he fought.

He is only 5'6" and to make it worse has very short reach even for his height (less reach than FLYWEIGHT champ, Brian Villiora) people tend to forget that little fact.

Example of Big Junior Welters are fighters like Ortiz, Khan, Garcia etc who are 5'10+

TBH if hatton had lived cleaner he probably would have been a 135lb fighter.

Hatton was exceptional on the inside, his entire career was built on it. Ward is exceptional too.

All you're doing is parroting Floyd Mayweather's excuses for not travelling to the UK to fight Hatton.

Instead Hatton stepped up a weight, fought Mayweather in the US and was jobbed by a corrupt referee.

Bottom line is Mayweather never beat the man at 140, not Hatton, not Tszyu and he never beat the man at 147 either in Manny Pacquiao.

How can you say that win was tainted and not agree Ward's win over Kessler was tainted?

Kessler let himself get hit with Wards head, so he could find an excuse to get out of being completely out classed by the American.
