I am currently doing an essay on whether or not boxing should be banned and am against the idea of this ban. My uncle partcipated in boxing for years and i was in martial arts for 3. I need to know approximately how many deaths were reported due to boxing in 2006, and am having troubles finding it. Can someone help me out?

Deaths due to boxing? - That's a little vague isn't it? I'm assuming you don't just mean deaths in the ring, but deaths of old vet's that may have been caused by a bit of boxing they did in the years gone by? That is extremely difficult to even speculate about, I honestly don't think you will find an exact number without some SERIOUS research - and even then it can't be proven a death was "due to boxing".

There haven't been any boxing deaths since the date you, sir, stated. If your tutor asks you for a reference, just say kaspa from boxingscene said so.

I think you should focus on long term injuries related to boxing...

i think in the ring is going to be the closest i can get as i do understand that its kind of hard to track. That first link is actually the closest i had come in my search so i will use that and the teacher will just have to like it and get on with her life haha.. :P Thanks sooo much!
