I believe Mares possesses bigger balls than Santa Cruz and that's what's gonna win him the fight. Cause I think that's what it's gonna come down to.

Santa cruz is still small compared to Mares. And Santa Cruz is still young and he learing, right now he in his lil margarito phase that will be the core of his style but lil twist and turns he can only add with experience, same way like we see with mares every fight he does something a lil new. so right now mares sparks him out.

Mares would stop Santa Cruz at this point. There much smaller Zaleta, while not being able to hurt Cruz was able to get off quite a bit on him. A much bigger, more confident Mares runs him down.

Mares is right it would be a step back. Because altho santa cruz is clearly one of the best at 118 he is still considered as an up and coming star while Donaire is an established name fighter.

Possibly. That some heavy body punches. And couple of low blows Mares is done. Mare is not a great power puncher.
