    The July 21 card featuring a main event of Adrien Broner vs. Vicente Escobedo had a total attendance of 4,596, with 4,296 tickets sold and 300 tickets given away for free, according to figures provided by the Ohio Athletic Commission.

      Seems like Broner tickets come cheap because you see guys like Nonito sold half as many tickets yet made more then twice the gate

            That's a slight exaggeration. =)

            Donaire-Mathebula sold about 1,600 fewer tickets, brought in a gate about $12,000 higher.

              He sold tickets at $56 a piece average when Broner sold $32

                Indeed. Not at all disputing that. Just saying it's an exaggeration to say half the tickets (about one-third) and twice the gate (about 10 percent higher gate).

                Tell you this, though — one card was better for building a market for future fights, and that was the one that had cheaper ticket prices and only 300 comps.

                  Low ticket prices are good for the fans. Cheap ticket prices now means more people in attendance, which will lead to a good fan base that will grow with the fighter. Once Broner becomes a true headliner those prices will go up but he will have established a good fan base by then.

                    if thats the case, lol, the tickets shouldve been sold at 20 dollars, he still wouldve not drawn just like in this fight
