It was Team Soto that picked Antillon.

Montiel and Cotto are different weight classes and are not in line to fight Soto.
Well because it was agreed that the winner of Soto-Antillon was going to fight Rios. However, one guy didn't keep to his word...So it is what it is.

It was Arum that said that, not Soto.

Arum, as many now know, bulll****tts lies about 95% of the time he speaks.

Arum is the biggest lyar in boxing right now. Oscar/GBP is 2nd.

The fight was agreed upon. One guy didn't keep to his word and rather fight an unnecessary rematch...It is what it is.

Arum has agreed to many fights in the past, and he lies.
Top rank is a deceptive co., just like GBP.

no one expected the Soto-Antillon to be Fight of the Year material.
a rematch is reqested by public demand.

Rios has the door open to fight JMM or Acosta within 4 months, or either of the two could get stripped for not defending their WBA titles to the WBA's mandatory contender.

          Rios is not Soto's mandatory.
Rios needs to earn the right to fight for the WBC title.

Soto has had plans to move up tp 140lbs and get a record 4th divisional title.
Rios is a spoiled kid, that wants to "cut in line".

          Whats the rush???
Rios, 24 years old, cant wait 6-8 months??

Soto at 30 years of age, has had to wait years to get title shots.
Why should he give Rios a "shortcut"?

that "0" stands for undefeated. always respect an undefeated fighter.stop hating on a fighter because they haven't fought a big enough name for YOU to warrant him credit. what's your record? I am sick and tired of people discrediting fighters because they haven't beaten the top ranked in the division, like they have been ducking people. He is an incredible fighter with tons of pep and motivation. Me and many others believe he will be a superstar one day. At the very least a title holder.
Do you have to beat DLH's and Pac's and Floyd's to be somone in the sport?
If that's how you feel then shut the **** up til they fight, and stop watching fighters who apparently aren't worthy of you excellency. Anyone with such a narrow minded mentality is not a fan of boxing and is just a nuthugger and a hater.
most undeafeted boxers, are padded hype jobs.

              .
Couldn't the same question have been asked about Marcos Maidana?

I am not even reading all that nonsense you're spewing. I just know that it was agreed upon the winner would fight Rios next somebody backed out of their word.

And, then decided to duck Rios to fight an unnecessary rematch with a guy he already clearly beat. It is not like it was a controversial decision or not like it was not like a change in momentum type of fight ala JMM-Diaz I fight. Soto was winning early, middle and late. And to make it worse Antillon doesn't have a win better than what Rios has.

                    Talk about contradiction.

Soto said on that YouTube vid., that he'll fight Rios after he rematches Antillon.

I dont see what Rios' rush is to fight Soto in February, when Rios is not Soto's mandatory.

Rios wanted to fight a not-fully rested Soto in Feb, just 2 months after Soto last fought.

Soto in years past was promised fights against Pacman, MAB, EM, and they all ducked him.
So why should Soto give an undeserving challenger a shot at the WBC, when there are others in line to fight for that WBC?
