  • Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr: No Rematch, I Won Seven or Eight Rounds

Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (47-1) does not see any reason to give Bryan Vera a rematch after winning a controversial ten round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The scores were 97-93, 96-94 and 98-92. Chavez-Vera took place at a catch-weight of 173-pounds. Vera wants a rematch at 168-pounds, but that isn't going to happen says Chavez.

To be fair, Vera himself knows he lost as soon as he stepped in the ring with Daddy's boy.

I can see it a mile off, Mexican WBC president Jose Sulliman will swing it for Chavez Jr to challenge Sakio Bika.
