Chavez would be too strong either late stoppage or Chavez just pulls away late on the cards and wins a decision.

        That's simply not happening.

At 130 JCC was too green for someone of Nelson level. I think Nelson takes it by decision.

            Chavez Wins!

Chavez was a bit tougher, hit a bit harder & would win over Nelson, he would break him down & maybe TKO him late.

It would be a tight-as-hell affair that would be decided by a Chavez knockdown. Chavez's chin was definitely superior.

Chavez beats him up and stops him. The idea of Chavez being 'green' at that weight is laughable, just silly. He beat LaPorte, Lockridge, Ruben Castillo (and check his record; you had to be good to beat Castillo), and Azabache Martinez. Martinez fought Nelson and had him down and got robbed of the decision in their first fight and a 20 year old Chavez beat him easily. (Martinez was 19 when they fought)
Honestly, Chavez beats him easy, he was just a whole level above Nelson. And Nelson could fight, and he was very much a gentleman when you met him. But Chavez would beat him handily.

I agree with all of the above.

youngstaz, nelson was faster n hit harder than any of those top 130lb on chavez record. nelson could also move and circle. nelson outpoints chavez at 130. not at 135 or 140 as chavez seemed to get bettter n stronger as he went into those divisions. its easy to read castillo's name off chavez record but castillo was completely done by the time he got the chavez fight. also, chavez just barely got by lockridge n if u tune out ferdie pacheco biased ass, u might even think lockrige won. so nelson outpoints chavez via mixing it up, boxing circles around him n pot shotting n even out quickin him on the inside.
