  • Question for Christian Conservatives

These people always talking about the bible this and the bible that, you can't do this because the bible says so or we have to base this law around what the bible says. The bible says thou shall not kill, but conservatives are the ones who support war and thousands of people are killed in war so wtf? Why is it ok to them to kill people at war but not anytime else?

Killing is fine according to them but getting corn holed by another man is a big no no

war is always a difficult subject. killing to save the lives of many is the 'justification', although in the end all killing is wrong...and yet sitting back and watching others get killed is even worse.

Im not saying its necessarily the 'right' thing to do, but killing murders and lunatics to save the lives of innocents does seem a lot better than letting those people die.

in the end I dont think there is a right answer.

try to judge people as individuals, and not group them together as personal stereotypes.

The terms Christian Conservative is a paradox anyway.

If Jesus here today, they'd be telling the long haired liberal hippy to go get a job and stop trying to live off of their tax dollars.

The bible doesnt say dont kill, thats a mistranslation....it says dont murder. Its all about intent.
Why would god say thou shall not kill, only to turn around and sanction all kinds of killings? God does not contradict himself like that, its all about the intention behind murder. If you just go out killing for fun, then thats wrong, but if god instructs you to kill, there is a just reason behind so you are acting on good intentions. Its not the same thing, you just dont understand what god says

The bible is chock full of contradictions and puts forth moral situations that by today's standards are utterly reprehensible. For example Lot offers his daughters to an angry mob for gang rape so they don't bum a couple of angels. Apparently the daughters don't mind too much because they later get the guy drunk and have sex with him. And Lot was considered "righteous".

There are no contradictions, just misunderstandings.
Do you speak greek? I doubt it, so you are really not in a position to say that unless you can understand the original greek syntax.
And if Lot wasnt a righteous then he wouldnt have been saved from the destruction, plain and simple

Don't lie. There are many contradictions.
