This is awesome news. Thomas Hauser is definable my favorite boxing writer. If you haven't already, you seriously need to check out the columns he's written about HBO. Very informative. I've spent hours and hours going through his stuff.

    HBO 2008
Memorandum for Ross Greenburg HBO 2009
HBO and the State of Boxing - Part 1 [2010]
HBO and the State of Boxing - Part 2 [2010]
HBO and the State of Boxing - Part 3 [2010]
I don't think he has written one for 2011 yet.

Read more of his stuff here and here.

Great and interesting choice. He's really taken HBO to the woodshed in years past.

        Well done.

Meh. For someone so critical of them, he sure joined them as soon as they offered. Kind of like Campbell joining GBP after bashing the hell out of them with King.

Hauser's articles were always targeted as Ross Greenburg. He had some interesting information, but a lot of it was skewed to fit his agenda.

They are opinion pieces, but supposedly about HBO. A lot of them were skewed just to show what a poor job Greenburg was doing. He wasn't always right either, but most boxing fans took his word as god.

He also use to go after Top Rank all the time until somehow magically he started to do glowing pieces on them stating they were the top firm while ****ting on Golden Boy.

Dude also did his best to steer John Duddy away from Irish Ropes who had built him up very well to Top Rank as an opponent.

Hauser has 2 heads. Be warned.

Aside from criticizing HBO every year I get the impression that Hauser knows very little of the current scene.

                    What a hypocrite.
