Churchill was a racist and an alcoholic and a failure. He declared war on Germany to keep Hitler out of the military dictatorship of Poland and ended up agreeing to Soviet occupying whole eastern europe for fifty years including Poland. Churchills goal was to preserve the brittish empire, he starved millions off indians to death trying to get rid of Gandhi. He lost the brittish empire and brittain's place as a super power. The man was a failure.

Sure, it was all Chruchills fault for the Soviet influence in that area.

The job the Soviets did in the second world war they deserved it. The Americans didn't do anything about it.

          nitwit.

churchill was the one in the west who tried to oppose soviet domination of eastern europe.

america wouldn't back him because the cold war hadn't started yet and the americans were trying to make friends with stalin.

churchill was the one that coined the "iron curtain" remark in his anti-soviet speech.

go read a book before you talk , dumb truck.

            the american leadership were stupid.

they could have gotten the soviets to back off.

the soviets didn't have the bomb yet.

unfortunately american leadership always plays checkers while everyone else is playing chess.

He could have keept Soviet out of Europe by but it was more important for him to see the total destruction of Germany. He could have ended the war earlier if he had put Europes best before what he tought was best for Brittain.

No, Goebbels, the nazi propaganda minister did and Churchill later picked it up. I think it's you who need to read a book

It discussed "the iron curtain that more than ever before separates the world from the Soviet Union." [60] The German Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels wrote in his weekly newspaper Das Reich of a Soviet-formed "iron curtain" that would arise because of agreements made by Stalin, Roosevelt and Winston Churchill at the Yalta Conference: "An iron curtain would fall over this enormous territory controlled by the Soviet Union, behind which nations would be slaughtered." [61][62] The first oral intentional mention of an Iron Curtain in the Soviet context was in a broadcast by Schwerin von Krosigk to the German people on 2 May 1945: "In the East the iron curtain behind which, unseen by the eyes of the world, the work of destruction goes on, is moving steadily forward."

The first recorded occasion on which Churchill used the term "iron curtain" was in a 12 May 1945 telegram he sent to U.S. President Harry S. Truman regarding his concern about Soviet actions, stating "[a]n iron curtain is drawn down upon their front. We do not know what is going on behind."[63] He was further concerned about "another immense flight of the German population westward as this enormous Muscovite advance towards the center of Europe."[63] Churchill concluded "then the curtain will descend again to a very large extent, if not entirely. Thus a broad land of many hundreds of miles of Russian-occupied territory will isolate us from Poland."
