This really bothers me, Tua putting Bird in the list, when there are clearly many bascketball ATGs that are better than him. To be honest Larry Bird was a phenominal player, but I always believ (and many others do too) that his skills were praised and made out to be more than they were because he was from a a certain race, which in all honesty is true. he may be a good baller but in now way is he a top % ATG like tua says*I wont even reply to putting Kobe in there). If you look at stats Larry Bird was no better than Reggie Miller and does not deserve to be rated higher than him....If you don't believe me check their stats, I might even go ona limb and say that Miller was a better plaer than Bird. But getting back to the thread topic Jordan ****s on James, I just dont get it one of them was an all around amazing player that could do it all from the inside and out, not to mention exciting, while the other is a bulked up powerhouse that is only effective on the inside and at mid range, but can not even shoot normally let alone consistantly behind the arc. The difference between Jordan and James is night and day.

lebron is not even close to top 10. he's still on tracy mcgrady's and vince carter's level.
Lebron surpassed that level 2 years ago. he has already done things that mcgrady and carter have never and will never be able to do.

I mean look at the rosters. LeBron got better than that.

Just sayin. Keep things in perspective.
Jordan didn't have the greatest team but he didn't have a ****ty team. And you have to put his opposition in perspective as well. Jordan didn't exactly have to deal with teams at the level of Celtics, Spurs and the Piston's that Lebron had to deal with the last 2-3 years.

the bulls made the playoffs the 2 years without Jordan. You think that Varejo, West, Gibson, Williams, Wallace, Ilgauskas would be able to take this team to the playoffs without lebron? hell no. in fact, they would probably be at the bottom or close to the bottom of the NBA.

                Career Stats:

                MJ - 30.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 5.3 apg, 2.3 spg, 0.8 bpg
                Bird - 24.3 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 6.3 apg, 1.7 spg, 0.8 bpg
                Magic - 19.5 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 11.2 apg, 1.9 spg, 0.4 bpg

Lebron, Kobe, & Wade - (in progress)

That's not to mention Lebron's game is far below MJ's in terms of overall completeness; he has NO outside game, is decent/above average mid-range shooter, and no where NEAR as god as mike defensively. Lebron is not like Mike. anything he can do Mike could do better, Mike could do everything better than him.

Lebron, Kobe, & Wade - (in progress)

That's not to mention Lebron's game is far below MJ's in terms of overall completeness; he has NO outside game, is decent/above average mid-range shooter, and no where NEAR as god as mike defensively. Lebron is not like Mike. anything he can do Mike could do better, Mike could do everything better than him.
too much stats but i agree lebron is not as good as mj at least right now. who knows in the future but right now lebron is not on his level.

you can't judge a player just by stats anyway.

magic could've have put down 40 points a night but that wasn't his game.

If Lebron continues to work on his few shortcomings: periodic lapses on defense, spotty jump shooting, he can get on that level. He has the potential. He isn't now, especially when you consider how Jordan tore **** down, despite getting the **** beat out of him when he went to the hoop. You could get away with a lot more defensively in those days, and CLEARLY there were better defenders in the league than there are now.
