"You bastard, Obama is RUINING THIS FAMILY!"
I think I may have detected another source of their familial woes.
Republicans certainly seem to have a lock on the crazies, don't they?

Here's the thing: The internet makes it easier than ever to check your facts. The problem is it also makes it easier to choose your sources of information. Notions that would once be the preserve of a crazed basement pamphleteer who would be forced to stand on street corners can now be propagated globally and given the veneer of popular acceptance. People are in general pretty hopeless at thinking logically and rationally. Why else do you think album charts are given so much stock? "This is the most popular song in America!" is the claim. The response should be "So what?" and it should be judged on its merits. It isn't.
There are an embarrassing amount of Americans who think that Obama is a secret muslim AND a secret atheist who was born in Kenya and is a socialist and also a fascist in cahoots with the banks. The hyperbole has begin to be believed by people who never bothered to actually leave their biases behind and say "wait a minute... why would the banks want a socialist?". The punditry hyperbole produces a sense of "there's no smoke without fire" and anyone interested can find themselves a blog post that backs up their belief that socialism and high capitalism are not mutually exclusive.
