MMA will never over take boxing. One number reason is MMA is mainly a white sport, they had enough of the ethnics dominating boxing so they started a MMA so they can claim to something. In 2050 Non-white Hispanics will be like 40% of the population and they love boxing so boixng future is certain. When eventually Blacks and Hispanics take over MMA. They will start a another fighting competition like head butting and claim it is as their own. MMA is just a fad.

It takes an extraordinary amount of insecurity to start a thread like this. Baffling that fans of one side can't simply enjoy their sport and let the other one be if they don't like it. If your sport is good, promote it on its own merit, not by trying to tear down something else. All the more baffling to someone like myself who greatly enjoys both sports.....
If you like MMA and not boxing, have the good sense to not flaunt your childish insecurities by denegrating boxing....

MMA is not a fad. Whether UFC is, that remains to be seen but MMA has been around for decades, or centuries, depending on how you look at it. It will always exist in one form or another.
By the way, UFC was started by the Brazilian Gracie family to introduce their superior BJJ ground techniques to combat sports fans.
It was not started because 'whites' needed a sport where they could be dominant... That is just an idiotic statement and shows how much you know, nothing.
The early days.
