Expired Protein Powder

So I have some expired Mega-Pro whey protein that's been sitting in my pantry, it's in a seal-lock bag and has a best before date of 03/03/09, but I don't think that's the expiration date. Has anyone used Protein past it's best before date? Will it be safe for me to drink?

Buy the same product from a supplement store, then keep the reciept and return it saying "What the hell is this? Why are you selling me expired protein?"

If you are lucky you might get a free shaker cup or something.

The short answer though is, hell no dont use the expired ass protein powder.
