Like Wlad beating Povetkin will be a legit good win against a Top HW. But it's not as if Povetkin is good or even would be a serious threat to any good HW from this era or era's prior.

He should fight someone like Chagaev, rather than 40 year olds. Rahman vs povetkin was embarrasing

What about some journeyman like Monte Barrett, Maurice Harrris, Dominick Guinn, etc.?

I understand moving along slow but he still needs to be pushed. He can't box right now he spends the whole fight trying to set up one punch. Get someone in there that will actually fight back.

Damn. I actually took time to watch both these fights.

All four of those guys would have made good sparring partners for Prime Calvin Jones.. lmao.

                Good fight for Deontay.

Of course the Euro and Ruskie crybabies are out in full force for this thread.

If he's a good enough opponent for Amateur Gold Medalist and undefeated Russian World Champion Alexander "Fat Little B*tch" Povetkin then he is a good enough opponent for a green up and comer with a lot of holes in his game.

How is he any worse than a 55 year old Matt Skelton who couldn't box his way out of a paper bag even when he wasn't older than Methusalah.

I will not be surpised if Wilder end up knocking out Povetkin(this era's third best HW)

It still makes sense for them to go slow with Wilder and even the corpse of Rahman is a step forward. He can always fight Grant next if things go according to plan.
