There are two superfights for Floyd to make: against Martinez and against Pacquiao. They are the only two fights in which he wouldn't be the odds on favorite. He'd still be favored against Pacquiao but probably not anymore against Martinez. Floyd won't make either fight. It is hard to stomach Floyd's lament here--he won't fight the two best guys near his weight. I give him credit for his fight with Cotto, where he dealt with adversity and stormed to victory with 3 great closing rounds. But as i said before the fight, Cotto is a diminished fighter. Nobody can take the beatings he took from Margarito and Pacquiao and be the same figher. For Floyd to perform as mediocrely as he did against this version of Cotto suggests he is nowhere near the fighter he once was (neither is Pacquiao for that matter).

why won't Floyd fight Martinez or Pacquiao? Martinez agreed to come to 150 for the fight and offered him 80% of the money. Martinez is way more of a challenge at 150 than Cotto was at 154. Martinez would KO Cotto at 154. Let's not ignore teh elephant in the room--Cotto wasn't the best competition at 154 for that fight.

why won't Floyd fight Pacquiao? He essentially said last week he wouldn't fight him because his "health was more important" suggesting Pacquiao was on 'roids. Pacquiao agreed to take the WADA/Olympic style tests. What is the issue here? Money? It was never issue in the prior negotiations. Why is it here? Granted, getting Arum to risk his cash cow in this fight will be difficult too, but Floyd has shown little interest in making this fight recently.

Floyd's always been in the driver's seat for superfights because everybody good wants to fight him. That's where the money is. The problem is that if Floyd agrees to fight you, he's already concluded that he can't lose the fight. He won't fight anybody that has a chance. That is pathetic. Martinez and Pacquiao have a chance, so Floyd has ruled them out. That is awful.

Pac should be no1 p4p he beats everyone better than Floyd. Floyds claim to fame still is beating JMM convincinly. Yes JMM, a counterpuncher. Put a good pressure fighter against Floyd and he will be found out. A counterpuncher and bloated at that isnt the man for the job.

Pac dont have to fight Sergio, as Pac has fought 9 times in 5 years, whereas in the same time, Floyd has fought 3 times do the maths. Floyd has to make a statement as he didnt gete FOTD and he isnt p4p no1, so dont encourage Floyd to be more casual than he already is.

Floyd has more to do anyone can see that. If Floyd fought more, people wouldnt be so demanding on Floyd. But then again asking Floyd to fight Sergio rather than Pac is hardly being demanding is it? Floyd shouldnt complain, as he isnt retired now, so dust yourself down and get on with it stop beating around the bush.

Er, dont think so. Floyd hasnt got any standards. We just want him to fight so he can catch up with Pac. Floyd should fight Sergio and then he will be nearer to Pac then he is now.

Well not everybody thinks so as you insinuate....Did you gorget tbe name of the article that are here commenting on?? You're trying to convince the masses differently clown, did you forget???

"Tyson's mystique and intimidation was one thing, but aside from Tiger, Jordan and now, Kobe, the only athlete I know [in the history of sports] who has shown that pure killer instinct to conquer an opponent....that 'I'm gonna put a dagger in your heart and watch you bleed' with a smile type demeanor....just so fundamentally skilled at what he does which makes him almost unconquerable.......is Floyd Mayweather'".**- Denzel Washington

But maybe he's not credible enough for ya, I underatand!

Maybe this guy in the link is.... It's Bob Arum, your guys promoter calling Floyd the greatest since Ali an placing him above Ray Leonard and Duran.... Go ahead and click the link below and watch for your self
