  • Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr.'s Attorneys Respond To NSAC's Complaint

Campbell & Williams, a Las Vegas based law firm representing the interests of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., issued an answer on Monday in response to the complaint from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The NSAC filed a complaint against Chavez after the boxer tested positive for marijuana in the aftermath of his twelve round decision loss to Sergio Martinez on September 15th, 2012.

The attorneys for Chavez have requested a suspension of six months and a maximum fine of $10,000.

How do figure that? When you get suspended by a major commission you are more of less suspended in the entire country.

What's funny is that Chavez claimed he was stuck in Mexico due to immigration issues so he couldn't make it to the first hearing in January, but the guy was in Universal Studios just a few days before.

He could still take a fight in Mexico though. Fighting Martinez without an inbetween fight would be stupid.

Yeah, if anything Chavez jr will go fight in Mexico.

As you know, Bob did this for Margarito when he was banned.

Chavez should stop being a ***** and take his punishment. He knew the rules and he broke them anyways. Freaking Mike Tyson had to pay a $100k fine for the same thing which was ridiculous.

IDK what the attorneys are supposed to argue, that Chavez is a prima donna princess and the rules dont apply to him?

The standard commission tests are a joke, they guys that fail them cant even stop smoking for a few weeks to pass the test. Get your priorities right.
