  • Comments Thread For: David Price Says Career at Stake in 'Do or Die' Rematch

David Price knows it is "do-or-die" when he attempts to avenge his shock defeat by Tony Thompson and resurrect his world title hopes on Saturday.

The Liverpudlian goes toe to toe with the American veteran this weekend in a rematch of their two-round clash in February at the same Echo Arena venue.

Price was surprisingly blown away within six minutes when the two met five months ago, taking a sharp southpaw right hook behind the ear which sent him sprawling and scrambled his senses.

The 6ft 8ins Briton knows victory will effectively atone for that defeat and put him back on track for a world title shot after a temporary setback.

Going to be a good fight either way!
I reckon Tony Thompson will be even more up for this one than he was last time which is a scary thought...
Perhaps having Lennox in your corner could of motivated Thompson even more because he looks in great shape.

Yes sir, David is right...this is a 'do or die' fight. If he loses again to 41 year old Thompson, he will be considered an opponent and trial horse barring some kind of future, big time win to regain credibility. Not an easy chore to accomplish.

Thompson is full of hot air, no promoter offered him more than he's getting this weekend. One fluke win, and his head swells up like a balloon. If Price is ready, this will end Thompson's "win streak" in short order.
