    WRAPPING up properly during the big freeze got me thinking about the importance of protecting a fighter’s hands.

    Many careers have been wrecked by long-term damage.

    In the present game, heavyweight David Price and middleweight Billy Joe Saunders have both suffered badly.

    And the latest is Stockton-on-Tees light-welterweight Bradley Saunders — no relation to Billy Joe — who I signed early last year.

    The 26-year-old is touted as one of the hottest prospects in boxing. Frighteningly heavy-handed, Saunders scored spectacular stoppages against the globe’s amateur elite.
