Multiple sources have advised BoxingScene.com that a rematch between former junior middleweight champion Alfredo Angulo (22-2) and Gabriel Rosado (21-6) is in the works to take place on the Floyd Mayweather versus Robert Guerrero televised pay-per-view undercard. Angulo knocked out Rosado in two rounds in their first encounter which took place in August, 2009.
A lot has changed since that fight. At the time Rosado was working a day job in addition to pursuing his boxing career. The fighter of Puerto Rican descent had won 7 fights in a row before moving up to middleweight and being stopped by Gennady Golovkin in January. Angulo won his next 4 fights before being knocked out by James Kirkland. He then spent nearly 7 months at the Immigration Detention Justice Center in El Centro, CA. reportedly for visa violations. Since his release he has won both of his fights.
