Andre Ward has some nerve offering Leonard, Hopkins and Mayweather up as examples of other fighters with a style like his. He seems to forget that when Sugar Ray was 25-0 he had 16 KOs and a flashy style. When Hopkins was 23-2 he had 18 KOs. When Mayweather was 25-0 he had 19 KOs-- including KOs of champions like Genaro Hernandez and Chico Corrales. Ward has literally never knocked out any fighter of consequence. Young fighters with boring styles love to talk about Bernard or Floyd but they forget when Bernard and Floyd were young they were stopping opponents, otherwise they wouldn't have grown to the stars they are. They only guy who was even close to Ward's 13KOs is Sugar Ray but needless to say Leonard had a much more entertaining style than Wards.

Yeah but look at the records of the guys Ward was fighting. He was put in tougher then all those guys coming up.

Boxing would not be what it is without both heavy handed sluggers and slick technical boxers. It's what keeps fights interesting, and keeps fans guessing and debating who will win. You need both.

They should be apologetic, they are considered the VERY BEST at what they do in their Divisions and both are Top 10 P4P Fighters

So clearly what they are doing is 100% CORRECT...don't listen to these NEW AGE BOXING FANS, they are the most complaining and most whining boxing fans compared to any other ERA of boxing fans mostly because they have the internet and boxing forums and comment sections on youtube to B1TCH AND COMPLAIN about every little thing that is wrong with boxing... FUK THEM!

Dawson and Ward just have to keep FIGHT THE VERY BEST and KEEP WINNING and everything else will work itself out, they both have basically CLEANED OUT their Divisions what fans are hyping up a lot of BUMS who have yet to even fight the very best in their own Division, but yet they criticize fighters like Ward and Dawson a lot more then they do those other **** FIGHTERS! OK but lets not pretend like B-Hop and Mayweather style hasn't been criticized...and lets not pretend like Ray Leonard never got Criticized for certain fights...people say he "RAN FROM HAGLER"

So Ward is actually RIGHT! And by the way what Ward was talking about is how neither of those guys have Slurring Problems and major Physical Problems...Not about their styles, Ray Leonard went to WAR at times but for most of his Career Ray had Good Defense and Reflexes and was far from just being some Flat Footed Face First Brawler
