Did Sonny Liston Have "Special Needs"?

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has seen the Sonny Liston documentary.

There was a scene where someone who was involved with Liston's career said something along the lines of, "He self-consciously asked me 'do you like me?'."

Like most bullies, Im sure Sonny wanted to be liked even if he didn't know how to make people like him. That would make a lot of people insecure and self conscious no matter how well thy could fight.

Liston was uneducated and generally uncomfortable being around those unlike him. His reputation was that was great with children though.
